For years I've been trying to convince Kris that we need neither a television nor a computer, that our lives would be more fulfilling without them.
She disagrees, so I've never taken steps to get rid of either appliance. I don't watch much television; I just keep it turned it off.
Then it dawned on me today: the computer has a power switch, too.
Call me a Luddite (also here, here, here, and here.)

2005 — Snapshots We had a rather busy weekend. Here are some anecdotes and photos.
2003 — How Not to Watch a Movie In which Joel and Dave and I get to see an advanced screening for the upcoming Russell Crowe film, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the Tehater. In which I get us kicked out of the movie theater.
I'm confused; was this one of those all-too-frequent "farewell posts"? Everyone seems to post at least one in their weblogging life...I have yet to post mine though.
