19 January 2003 — Sidetracked (2)

At 9 a.m. I left for the five-minute walk to Wilcox Arredondo.

I took my camera.

Three hours and thirty-seven exposures later, I finally reached the office.

On this day at foldedspace.org

2005Idle Thoughts   I'm in the midst of one of my periodic life re-evaluations.

2004Brain Damage   Dale was in my first or second grade class (I'm so old now that I've forgotten which). He was bright and funny and popular with both the teachers and the students. One day my teacher came in and she told us that while Dale had been riding his bike, he'd been struck by a car.

And just what did you find with your camera? Looking for patterns? I believe your picture of a field lined with trees, shows also a picture of rows of grain or grass. Patterns? Also have you ever photographed a rain drop or a drop of water hitting a puddle or a bowl of water, see the circles (patterns) move outward from the point of contact. HAVE FUN!!

I'm now finished working on Sabino's computers.

I should read Frankenstein or clean house or watch football. Instead, I'm going to go out to the shop, grab the ladder, and hike back to grandpa's woods to take more pictures. And, as you suggest, Virginia, the crop rows are one of my targets. Mac suggested stained glass, so I'll swing by Zion. Then I'll go up to Portland to photograph the train yards -- it'll be about an hour before sundown, and the colors should be nice.

I have to be careful not to become addicted, don't I?
