I spent most of Saturday trying not to be sick. (For a time, this was Kris' main gaol, too; she felt ill mid-day.) Mostly, I succeeded. When one is paying a lot of money to take a vacation, one cannot afford to sit in one's room even if one is sick. So, we set out to visit Crater Lake.

It's beautiful—a sapphire set in a desolate landscape.

There's not a lot to do there, at least not at the end of September. Still, Kris managed to take a number of digital photographs (all of the photos on this page, except the last one, are hers), and I made about 100 traditional photographs (about a quarter of which are black-and-white).

I enjoy vacations with Kris, and this was no exception. We had a great time.

On this day at foldedspace.org
2005 — The Seven Wonders of the Internet I sometimes speak of The Seven Wonders of the Internet, but I had never tried to enumerate them before tonight. At dinner, Kris and I brainstormed candidates. We came up short.
2004 — The Berry Patch I haven't provided a house update in a while. Kris and I worked like dogs in the yard this weekend, and the gardens are beginning to take shape. Here are some photos of our progress.
2002 — Candle in the Wind We chatted for several hours, during which time Aimee said that she could never keep a weblog because she’d end up writing about candles.
Kris should take more pictures =)
