29 September 2004 — Sniffle (4)

I fought it for two weeks, but I've finally succumbed: I'm sick. Whatever Kris had, I now have. (Though, thankfully, I do not have her cough.)

I'm sitting here at work, miserable. Nick's buying some cold medicine for me while he's in town running errands, but all I really want to do is go home and sit in a hot bath.

Oh — that's right. We don't have a bathtub.

Argh!

I guess I'll content myself with hot tea and Star Trek on DVD.

On this day at foldedspace.org

2003Landscape Photography   In which our trip to Crater Lake teaches me a lot about landscape photography.

I am going on my 9th day of this horrible sickness! My recommendation, JD, is that you find a way to steam yourself. I know there's no tub, and for that I am deeply sorry, but boil a pan of hot water, buy a humidifier, do whatever you can do. Without inhaling the steam, my head would have burst!

Feel better...

Go home, drink some tea, do as Lynn suggests, and then take a nap.

If it's any consolation, I'm fighting the same thing. I swear by the "Cold Eeze" lozenges you can get at most stores. I don't know if they really work or not, but they do seem to reduce my overall feeling of abject cold induced misery.

I'm sorry you and Kris are sick J.D. I didn't realize this was happening sooner because I have neglected to read your blog for the last couple of days. May the tea and Star Trek work for you!
