[photo of me taking a bath]

On this day at foldedspace.org

2003Counterspell   In which the kid at the gas station is too friendly. In which MSBLast blasts me. In which I give up Magic. In which I want to learn to write.

Facts

  • It took four men to carry the tub from the garage to the house.
  • AmyJo was right; I'm glad I got the five-and-a-half foot model. The tub is long.
  • The tub is also deep. It holds prodigious quantities of water.
  • The exposed pipes get damn hot.
  • It is a huge step t get into and out of the tub. We're going to buy a small stool. Craziness!
  • A year without bathing has undone a lifetime of adaptation. Over thirty-five years of baths, my feet had become accustomed to long soaks. No more. After two one-hour baths in twelve hours, they're protesting in agony.
  • Oh yeah: I've taken two one-hour baths in the last twelve hours. I'll take another tonight. And two more tomorrow. And...
Now it's time to go mow the lawn, though what I really want to do is get back in the tub!
