PAUL’S SOCKS
I knitted my first pair of socks. They were supposed to be for me, but after I finished the first one I found that it was too large for my size 10 feet. Luckily it fit Paul’s foot perfectly and the colors suit his wardrobe better than mine.
1 skein of Colinette Jitterbug in Castagna. I made the medium size of the pattern posted on the label. I modified the pattern by knitting the entire leg in 2-by-2 rib and shortened the length of the leg because I was afraid I would run out of yarn (I had plently left over).
To soothe my ever cold, handknit sockless feet I rushed out to Dublin Bay Knitting Company to purchase a skein of Sweet Georgia’s Speed Demon Sock yarn in the the chinois colourway to make a pair of Thuja socks and two skeins of Superwash Sock in river to make a pair of Jaywalkers. I’ll have toasty toes soon!
