Pneumonia
I seem to have come down with a mild case of pneumonia. I haven't gone to the doctor to verify this for sure, but I definitely have a majority of the symptoms (and I had a chest cold a week before). It does seem to be getting better, although I do still have swollen glands and a bit of tingling in my extremities. If I had a fever I might be more worried, but my body temperature has actually been low... as low as 97 degrees.
I am still able to go to work, and I actually was able to do some yardwork/winterizing at home yesterday, but I am pretty well drained by early evening. I look forward to having a little more energy back... and I look forward to being able to take deep breaths without a coughing fit. Hopefully I won't feel quite so creativity challenged once I shake this... then maybe I will be able to make a decent weblog entry.
At this point I will do the Roth thing and let my immune system battle it out... which frustrates Stephanie to no end. :-)

Yeh I'm with steph on this. Boy, ya listen to me.There are all sorts of remedies on the market. Or if it truly is pnuemonia you could get an antibiotic and be over it shortly. At this rate you'll still be hacking at Christmas and miss all the festivities! Get to a doctor!

My symptoms fit the viral pneumonia description more than the bacterial pneumonia description. Antibiotics won't help a viral infection, so all a doctor can tell me is to take an expectorant/cough suppressant, which I am doing now... and I am finally getting some productive coughing out of it.
Anyway, if I were feverish and bed-ridden, I would surely have seen a doctor by now... but I just feel to good to have anything really serious.

Way to alarm your mother! I hope you are feeling better -- if you get to feeling worse, please go to the doctor. (Kaiser's Urgent Care Clinic works well on a weekend.) You might be surprised at how what you have would respond to antibiotics. Don't be a stubborn Roth if you become at all short of breath or aren't able to cough loosely any more. But you're a big boy and I trust your judgment (although I trust your wife's, too). :-)
