We have a soccer player in the house now...

Today was Noah's first official soccer game, and it was also my first official game as a soccer coach. I am only the assistant coach, but in this league, that means that I still coach during the game... because we split the team into two smaller teams, according to their skill levels. I coached the younger guys during the first half, and then coached the more advanced players during the second half.

Both the advanced and the novice team lost (although we didn't officially keep score), but I think the kids had fun... which is what really matters. Of course, seeing as how the other team had five second graders to our one, I'd see we held our own pretty good. :-)

Edit: Sabino has corrected me -- I guess I had the whole thing backwards. The advanced team actually won 3-2 (or tied 2-2, according to the official time-keeper) -- not that we keep score or anything. That is even more impressive -- nice job Coach Sabino! :-)
