For the last week and half now, a cute little yellow bird has been hanging out in our Japanese Snow-bell tree. At first it would flutter up to the window and bounce off of it, and then go sit back in the tree. It has recently started grabbing on to the window screen and just hanging out, watching us from the outside.
I have tried to get a close-up of it sitting perched on the screen, but it seems to be camera-shy. Every time I raise the camera up to focus, it instantly flies away. So, the only photos I have are of the bird sitting in in the tree -- but the photos are taken from inside the house, through the kitchen window. I have managed to zoom in and get some respectable pictures, but not as hi-res as I normally like to post.
If anyone out there has any idea what kind of bird this might be, please post it in the comments section...

well, i am not much help to you oh-brother-in-law, as the only yellow bird i have been watching lately is BIG BIRD!!!!!!!!

JD brought in a bird book and it appears as though our little friend is indeed a goldfinch. That doesn't explain why he wants to hang out on our window screen and spy on us, but it is likely a goldfinch none-the-less.
