An early environmentalist embraces new heresies. I was just talking about this with Kris tonight. She's freaked out by our book group book, which posits an environtmental end-of-the-world. I think it's liberal histrionics. I suggested that if the liberals hadn't been so gung-ho to shut down nuclear power, then maybe there'd be an alternative once the oil runs out. I just picked up Civilizaton 4 a couple weeks ago. It's awesome, and has been sucking the spare cycles from my life (such as they are). Nick bought it, too, and has begun forwarding fun Civ4 articles to me, such as this: Winning a cultural victory with "always peace" on. Fun for a Civ geek.
