Hooray for cats and beautiful babies co-existing! Here is the thing about Adelaide: she looks *really* smart. Like she is saying "I'll just kick back here while they get the hang of this."
I am a little worried about Joel carrying the carseat-ridden Adelaide on a recently-snowy path with his shoes untied...
Sorry, I had to add this: I went to the page and looked at the pictures of the other babies born at the hospital. I know it is not a contest or anything, but if it were, Adelaide would be coming home with the blue ribbon for cuteness *for sure.* Don't get me wrong: babies are all cute in that baby way, but she is beautiful. I am now certainly cursed to have a not-cute baby...
We agree with Clotilde. Adelaide is definitely the cutest baby out of all the babies in the hospital. And she looks older then them - i.e. more wise. She looks so alert and curious about the world around her. We just can't get over how beautiful she is!

You caught us! That shot was staged. Our actual arrival was through the garage breezeway door, laden with luggage that we just piled on the kitchen floor. Not as photogenic.
