Toads-in-the-Hole

"So. where are you going for your summer vacation?" is the question of the season. Unfortunately, we don't have any big jet-setting adventures planned for this year (other than Joel's forthcoming board examinations). But I couldn't let the 75 days of summer vacation drift by with only swimming lessons and bike riding to the park. So, about a week ago, the kids and I left Joel to his own devices and packed up the car for a trip up north to vacation at Marmee and D's.

There are so many things to love about Marmee and D's, but we especially love ...

the horses we can ride at the grocery store,

the sharks to pet when out to eat,

the family to surround us and make us laugh,

Including our cousins to play with,

the boats to ride on,

the bright sun to bask in,

And of course, the cool lake to jump into.

We had a ball!
